Zoomery Server
What is it?
In short: It is the next evolutionary step of both the
Zoomery product line, and the way of handling and presenting DeepZoom images.
In the past, you were limited to using pre-generated DeepZoom scenes, that you had to recreate over and over
again using the various tools available, whenever something has changed. Updating a DeepZoom image set was not
only time consuming, but it also required you to move massive chunks of data between your computer and the
server your website was hosted on.
With Zoomery Server, we have set out to solve this and more.
Composing and generating DeepZoom scenes is time consuming
We have streamlined the image generation process, so that it takes only a fraction of a second to convert your image into a zoomable DeepZoom element. The layout of images is created automatically using an intelligent algorithm that fills the available space in an optimal manner. You can forget about lengthy generation processes, you upload an image into Zoomery Server and it is virtually instantly presented to you in a zoomable format.
Uploading entire scenes when something changes is a waste of bandwidth and time
When an image in your DeepZoom scene changes, you usually have to regenerate the whole scene again and reupload it. With Zoomery Server, you only have to upload the changed image saving you precious time and bandwidth.
Silverlight's DeepZoom can't cope with a very large number of images
Although we can do the impossible any time you want, for miracles you have to wait a little longer.
While we can not remove the inherent limitations of Silverlight's DeepZoom rendering, we did our best to work around them, making things you previously thought impossible available with minimal effort.
You can now have virtually any number of images in your DeepZoom scene as long as the number of displayed images stays below the performance limitations set by Microsoft's DeepZoom. To this end, we have added strong filtering capabilties to Zoomery Server so that you can display the images you want.
Zoomery - Anything Zooms
Just as in Zoomery, DeepZoom technology does not stop at images for us. With the help of Zoomery Server, you can visualize any kind to data and display it in a zoomable format as long as you can come up with a visual representation for it.
